My portable devices were random CD players (which would skip or glitch if you listened while walking), a cheap mp3 player (heavy and bulky, not for the pocket), 'upgrading' to an RCA Lyra (with colour screen for videos), and finally the 80GB iPod Video until 2008. It's interesting for me to notice how different and selective my taste is now considering that I started out finding top hits, trance music, or rap instrumentals (halal like hummus).

Your music journey started a lot sooner than mine! I had to save up for an iPod in 2008 after I already left Aramco
On a side note, I remember my family being invited to Farid's house, seeing that picture of his back yard was a sight I thought I'd never see again!
